About conference
We hereby invite you to join us at the 6th conference of the European Lightweighting Network (ELN) with the overall purpose of establishing a shared European Lightweighting strategy. It will be an opportunity for all participants to be inspired by best practices in other EU countries and industries, and to become part of our ELN networking and open collaboration platforms.
The 6th ELN conference takes place in Palau Macaya in Barcelona on October 7–8, 2026.
As one of Europe’s leading innovation and industrial hubs, Barcelona provides an ideal setting to foster dialogue on advanced lightweight solutions and their application across strategic mobility sectors. The conference will gather representatives from industry, academia, research and innovation organisations, clusters and public administrations from across Europe.
We are going to discuss in
Day 1: Welcome and policy session, followed by sessions focused on the automotive and nautical sectors. The afternoon programme will include a brokerage event and potential site visits to sites.
Day 2: Focus on aerospace, railway, automotive and dual-use technologies. There will be keynote speeches followed by panel discussions allowing interactions with the audience.
The confirmed speaker’s names are continuously updated. The purpose of ELN is to establish a European platform and strategy for common goals concerning environment protection by reduction of raw material usage through reduced weight in products or circular economy.
